We’ve spent the last few days in Bristol – home to over 1,000 B Corps, where Sian was invited to host the opening panel for this year’s Purpose Fest.
We all know (at least in the eco echo chamber) that something must be done, urgently, to protect and restore nature.
But what does that mean for business, and what can we do about it?
Biodiversity and business was the big topic to open this year’s event and inspire the 450+ B Corps in the room to embed positive nature action in their own businesses.
Sian shared the stage with Elliot Coad, founder of Ecologi, Kate Mainprice of Natural England and Gil Martin Director of Estates and Natural Capital at the pioneering Belmont Estate.
Their 30 minute panel covered an in depth discussion on the value of nature, the links between healthy eco-systems and human health, and how businesses can take action for nature, without falling into the same problems we’ve seen in the carbon markets.
The panelists shared their experience and left the audience with practical tips they could take to build nature into their work and engage their communities with looking after the natural world.
To open this year’s hashtag#PurposeFest with practical steps that businesses can take in their work and their communities to engage with and look after our natural world.
Thanks to Purpose Fest’s organiser Andy Hawkins for bringing together a crowd of 450+ B Corps and purpose driven businesses to drive such an important agenda forward.
