181st Street is a fast-growing, cross-sector, full-scale communications consultancy. We’re looking for a partner to join our leadership team and oversee the growth of our emerging creative brand and visual identity division.

You will be working with a team of highly-respected industry experts with decades of experience in sustainability, business ethics, public affairs, government, branding, marketing, communications and reputation management.

We’re looking for an ambitious creative person who is keen to now take the next step in their career, in an environment with ample room for progression towards senior partnership.

The right person for this role will have natural creative talent, a willingness to learn and the drive to take advantage of our mentorship and training programmes to develop into a fully fledged department leader as the business grows.

Ideally you will have:

  • High standards and excellent attention to detail
  • Good research skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of social media marketing 
  • Some experience of copywriting
  • Basic knowledge of how WordPress-based web design works
  • Interest in sustainability and ethical business practices

We’re looking for a marketing assistant to support our team in the planning, delivery and monitoring of internal and client marketing & communications campaigns across a range of channels.

You will be responsible for undertaking audience and market research, drafting copy and content, scheduling social media and blog content, preparing email marketing campaigns, distributing press releases, tracking and reporting on analytics, liaising with external suppliers to manage print procurement, and managing content calendars.

You will work closely with our directors and training and support will be provided.

We are looking for someone who can work part-time as a contractor, with flexible hours around client demand. We are a Living Wage accredited employer, and the hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in social media scheduling and email marketing software
  • Experience with uploading blog posts to WordPress
  • Experience writing copy to a brief, and editing for tone of voice
  • Research skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving, deadline driven environment
